San Francisco State University offers an "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fellows Program" where enterprising students can learn design thinking, product development, and market research through developing their own company. The company that I helped found was called Emory. It was a travel mobile app that helped travelers log the details of their trip so they could relive it later.
The app never made it past the prototyping phase but I was able to do extensive consumer research through interviews and surveys, became proficient at prototyping applications in Figma, and learn about the beauty of design thinking.
