My name is Tyler Bullock and, to be honest, I’m still trying to figure out what this blog is all about. I know that I’m passionate about a few things: sports, digital marketing/entrepreneurship, self-improvement, and travel. I know that I enjoy writing but need to have a particular goal established to actually do consistent work. The fact that this blog has no real “theme” or “brand” probably explains my inconsistent and incoherent post history.
But here’s what I’m going to do – I’m going to go ahead and focus this blog on being in your twenties and trying to find your way in the world. The main focus will be self-improvement but I will also touch on travel and entrepreneurship as I go along. It will hopefully be as much non-fiction as it is autobiographical. You can join in my journey with me and hopefully follow along yourself.
So why do I qualify to talk about self-improvement? Well, I’m a big ol’ work in progress but I never stop in my pursuit of finding and maintaining my best self. Ever since I read “How to Make Friends and Influence People” when I was a sophomore in high school, I’ve been enamored with the idea that we can read things and put the ideas of others into practice in order to improve our lives.
After reading that book, I changed my entire approach when it came to socializing with people. I listened more than I spoke, I was enthusiastic and treated everyone well. Soon after, I started to read about making money online. I began writing articles for insanely low prices (I would have probably written this blog post someone else for $1.50) but soon discovered search engine optimization (SEO) which enabled me to really start making money on my own. I found success, and it was all from finding and implementing the ideas of others, putting my own twist on them, and always continuing to grow. I’ve used “self-improvement” to build muscle, improve my dating life, become more fit, improve my social life in general, improve my sleep, improve my mindfulness, improve my pursuit of helping others, improve my diet, improve my spiritual fitness, and so much more.
I’m by no means an expert in any one of these things specifically, but I do consider myself qualified to share my experience in the hope that it can help you improve on yourself.
This blog, like myself, is a work in progress but I hope that within it you can find something that allows you to improve on something, make some change, or find the answer to a question you’ve been searching for.
Thanks for stopping by,
